Boost Engagement in Virtual Training Sessions

Nowadays everything comes into the virtual form including training seasons too. But it is nothing like before, it's taught to keep attention on the screen and people are getting distracted easily. So to boost energy and create a productive learning environment, trainers need to follow some strategy…
  • When a trainer trains physically he/she can easily figure out who is giving attention and who is not. But in the virtual training season, especially when people are not comfortable turning the video on and keep muted, then how can a trainer figure it out about audience attention?
  • Make content flexible and structure it in small pieces so your audience doesn't feel bored. The most important part at first is to make them understand that you are doing this for their own benefit. Give a short lecture on if they learn this properly how they will be benefited.
  • There will be different kinds of people. Some will be eager to learn, some already know what you are going to teach, some need time and friendly behaviour to get adjusted. It's taught to manage different types of people virtually.
  • You need to market your course, you need to believe people why it is needed and give them a comfort zone to attach with this session over others. you need to set expectations. Another good idea is breaking a course into small chunks then it will be easy to get attention. Sometimes people get destroyed by their Facebook, emails, or other notifications.
  • Asking questions randomly is kind of bothersome for some people because some are introverted and don’t feel comfortable speaking in front of people, some need some courage to speak up and some will speak if you ask. So creating some polling may increase participation.
